BiH Security Minister: The cyber Dimension is considered to be the fifth Dimension of War

“I do not think that Christian Schmidt’s decision can be seen as a compliment to the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), although yesterday at the Council of Ministers we had the opportunity to see that the Minister of Finance accepted the Central Election Commission (CEC’s) request. He did not accept subsequent requests but gave the opportunity to justify needs and in that difference are financed after the budget is adopted, but we certainly understand that the Office of the High Representative (OHR) insisted on such a move due to the short deadlines, “ said Selmo Cikotic, Minister of Security of BiH yesterday.

He told time will tell how much the bomb reports are terrorism.

Cikotic stated that it cannot be said that the targets of cyber attacks and cyber threats are radical, especially not that they are destructive.

What is a peaceful, rhythmic and planned work of both the community and community institutions that has already been called into question by these threats? We can to some extent view them as a test or preparation for some more serious moves that should not be ruled out. We must be ready to fight in thatfifth dimension of war, that is, in that important, very sensitive, and difficult to predict sphere of security that is still very limitedly defined, prescribed by law and even if we find the perpetrators, the question is to what extent and in what way they can be adequately and quickly sanctioned. “

“Spatial proximity with Serbia and Croatia does not mean much to us because there are several indications that some of these provocations came from more distant addresses.”

Also, he said the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NARS) held on Tuesday had not contributed to resolving the complex political and security situation in BiH.

“I think that the address of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH did not help stability or compromise within BiH. Especially the tone and messages we heard. We made a whole set of decisions related to the Euro-Atlantic future of BiH in a painful and difficult way and I believe that making of all these decisions in the last more than two decades involved the participation and political will and political consent of all institutions, ie all political actors, all constituent peoples, and even Others. Any abandonment of that path is very risky. What the NARS did yesterday was, to some extent, a waiver of previously announced actions. I think this is a political maneuver before the election. “

Cikotic pointed out that he has the expectation and hope that we will have a more active role of international actors who have responsibility for this part of the world and BiH.

“I hope that greater activity of domestic actors will increase the sovereignty and contribution of BiH institutions, and reduce the needs and space for the engagement of international actors. But we should not complain about why international actors are engaged when we cannot reach an agreement. OHR is being retained in BiH by the one who advocates its closure the most, and that is Dodik. “

I do not see the possibility of holding elections on the basis of any other Election Law

“I do not see the possibility of holding the elections on the basis of any other election law,” Cikotic concluded, Federalna writes.
