Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Trade and Tourism of Serbia said that Serbia together with BiH and Hungary is working on a tourism program which aims to bring Chinese tourists.
“Chinese tourists rarely visit only one country and that is why we are making tourist programs. With Montenegro, we have made seven such tourist programs, now we are working with Hungary and BiH, with intention to bring some number of tourists in Serbia – Ljajic said for Sputnik.
He emphasized that Serbia is trying to join the offer with other countries in the region, because during their trip, Chinese tourists want to visit two or three countries.
Ljajic pointed out the advantage of Serbia’s visa-free regime with China, and if a direct air service between Belgrade and Beijing could be opened, it would create prerequisites for attracting Chinese tourists.
Ljajic added that Hungary progressed in the cooperation due to existence of a direct air line from Budapest to Beijing.
“We are now working with the Hungarians because Serbia has a visa-free regime and they have a direct flight”, explained Ljajic.He stressed that each country is struggling to attract Chinese tourists as they are, except being the most numerous, are paying well.

“In Western Europe, Chinese tourists spent on average 1,600 Euros, in other countries a little less, but in any case they represent tourists that every country would like to host” added Ljajic said.
