BiH State Sports Association chose the most successful Athletes

The 79th selection of the most successful athletes and sports teams in BiH in 2023 was held in the organization of the Sports Association in BiH in the Cultural and Sports Center Kakanj. The titles of the best were won by Lana Pudar in the women’s competition and Nedžad Husić in the men’s competition, while the most successful coach is Damir Đedović.

The Judo national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was chosen as the most successful national team, while the most successful club in the women’s competition was the Table Tennis Club “Spin 2012” from Sarajevo, and the Croatian Sports Club “Zrinjski” in the men’s competition.

Lamija Alihodžić, cadet Ali Arnautović, junior Sara Pidro, junior Benjamin Husić and student athlete Aleksandra Samardžić were chosen as the most successful ones.

Special recognition for the results achieved in Paralympic sports went to the Bosnia and Herzegovina sitting volleyball team, and the most successful Paralympic athlete is Safet Alibašić. The most successful Paralympic coach is Ifet Mahmutović, and the club OKI “Fantomi”. Ismail Barlov and Ismail Zulfić received special recognition for the results achieved in 2023.

Awards for the results achieved in 2023 went to the Handball National Team of BiH, Jasmina Merdić, Nermin Hrustemović, Anes Bostandžić, Ada Avdagić, Dino Ružnić, Adnan Alagić, Elvedina Muzaferija, Emir Hastor, Hamza Turulja, Džejla Makaš, Tomislav Cvitanušić, Adnan Redžović, Božidar Vučurević, Nadina Mehmedović and Nejra Sipović.

Taekwondo club Bosna Rudar, Denis Muhović, Hajrudin Zekić, Lejla Ibreljić, Taekwondo club Nur, Kenan Hasagić, Suzana Durak and Dino Smajić received special awards for the contribution, popularization and development of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The special award “Boro Glušac” was given to sports journalists Mato Komšo, Dženan Hasagić and Edin Isanović, and the “Nusret Nućo Čaušević” award to Bojan Maksimović.

A special award for contribution and development to sport was awarded posthumously to Vehid Amitović.

The award for Lifetime Achievement in Sport went to Mehmed Buza, and Pavla Pepđonović received special recognition.

The winners of special awards “Sports Personality of the Decade” are Amel Tuka, “Mirza Delibašić” Amsal Delalić and “Ivica Osim”, Sergej Barbarez.

Edin Atić was declared “Basketball Player of the Year”, Nemanja Bilbija “Footballer of the Year” and Džanan Musa “Sports Ambassador”.

The honorary patron of this traditional event was the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić.
