The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Stasa Kosarac, said that Bosnia and Herzegovina had submitted answers to a questionnaire for the export of red meat, poultry meat and meat products to Saudi Arabia.
“The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the competent entity ministries, actively worked on filling out the questionnaire and we successfully completed the work,” said Kosarac.
He pointed out that the answer of the competent authorities from Saudi Arabia is expected in the next phase, after the necessary analysis of the submitted answers from Bosnia and Herzegovina has been previously performed.
“The questionnaire is important not only in terms of the possibility of exporting red meat, poultry and meat products, but also because of the higher volume of foreign trade in honey to Saudi Arabia. Namely, we were previously approved to export honey to Saudi Arabia. a condition to expand the list of approved honey exporters from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Saudi market, “Košarac stressed.
According to him, the opening of the Saudi Arabian market is a good opportunity and an additional incentive for the development of domestic agricultural capacities, which is why it is necessary to make maximum efforts in the realization of this goal.
“We submitted the questionnaire and we expect that Saudi Arabia will respond positively to our request soon. Our basic policy is to continuously work on opening new markets in order to contribute to business improvement and increase the volume of foreign trade of domestic products,” Kosarac said.
He expressed gratitude to the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other competent entity bodies, which actively worked on filling in the answers to the questionnaire for the export of red meat, poultry meat and meat products to Saudi Arabia.
“I am convinced that our joint efforts will contribute to a positive outcome for the domestic agricultural sector,” Kosarac said.
