The State delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by the Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić, and it consists of Prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA Director Perica Stanić and his assistant and Deputy Director of BiH Border Police Fahrudin Halac met with Italian delegation on Friday in Italy.

Mr. Federico Cafiero de Raho, Italian Antimafia and Counterterrorism National Prosecutor, and his associates have organized a reception for the delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the headquarters of the National Antimafia and Counterterrorism Directorate. At the meeting, participants exchanged experiences pertaining to the fight against organized crime, corruption and terrorism, as well as to the issues of conducting financial investigations and confiscation of unlawfully acquired property.

On the second day of the visit, the delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina had a meeting with Mr. Vittorio Rizzi, National Police Deputy Director General and the Criminal Police Central Director, and his closest associates.

During the meeting, the importance of cooperation between police agencies and prosecutor’s offices was discussed.

This visit is a continuation of the activities aimed at improving bilateral co-operation and exchange of best practices in support of the efforts that Bosnia and Herzegovina is investing into getting closer to EU standards in the field of justice, freedom and security. This visit has been organized as part of the IPA 2017 Project ‘Countering Serious Crime in the Western Balkans’, implemented by GIZ, CILC and Italian Ministry of the Interior.
