BiH’s Stability in Focus: EUFOR and NATO Gather Top International Leaders in Sarajevo

EUFOR and NATO HQ Sarajevo today brought together senior political, diplomatic, and military representatives of the international community at Camp Butmir for a high – level security roundtable dedicated to the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting sent a clear and unified message: the international community remains firmly committed to safeguarding peace, stability, and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.

EUFOR Commander, Major General Maurizio Fronda, highlighted the importance of unity among international actors, stating: “Our collective presence here today demonstrates the international community’s unwavering commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina. EUFOR remains fully dedicated to working alongside our partners to ensure peace, stability, and the protection of all citizens.”

Participants conducted a comprehensive assessment of the current security environment, addressing emerging risks and potential flashpoints, while reaffirming the vital role of international missions in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between international organizations and domestic institutions, enhancing the resilience of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutions, and supporting the country’s continued progress.

The roundtable concluded with a shared understanding that close coordination and sustained engagement remain essential to addressing current and future challenges, ensuring long – term stability across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
