Roman Abramovich apparently plans to launch a serious banking business in the Balkans. Namely, apart from the intention to buy the KBM Bank from Kragujevac, the Russian tycoon also got his eyes on the Pavlović Bank from Bijeljina.
Experts claim that there are two possible motives behind Abramovich’s intention to buy the bank in Serbia. One of them is that with a small bank such as KBM he can offer services to Russian companies in Serbia, and the other one is that he may embark on the construction of a major bank in the region on the foundations or one or several smaller banks.
