The president of the Serbian Democratic Party, Branko Blanuša, said that the decision of Draško Stanivuković and the Safe Srpska Movement to support his candidacy for the president of Republika Srpska represents an important step towards unifying the opposition and creating a strong front for change.

“Today, we are one step closer to a different Srpska where justice reigns, and citizens live with dignity and safety,” Blanuša pointed out.

As stated in the SDS press release, he expressed his sincere gratitude to Draško Stanivuković and the Safe Srpska Movement for, as he stated, the responsible decision to support his candidacy as the opposition’s candidate for president of the Republic of Srpska.

“Now we turn to October 4”

“Such a decision is a true proof that personal and party interests can be put aside for the sake of the common good and the desire for Republika Srpska to be according to the citizens, not alienated authorities. This is exactly the greatness of this decision”, stressed Blanuša.

The president of SDS said that now is the time to direct all energy towards the elections on October 4 and the joint struggle for change.

“Now we turn to October 4. Changes will only come if we are all together,” Blanuša concluded.
