PDP party state parliamentarian Branislav Borenović said that the high representative for foreign and security policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, confirmed to him that Bosnia and Herzegovina imposed sanctions on Russia.
As announced by the PDP, Borrell’s answer was very clear – Bosnia and Herzegovina joined the EU in sanctions against Russia. Borenović reminded that for almost a year now he has not been able to get an answer to the parliamentary question about sanctions from the Council of Ministers.
He claims that SNSD ministers are blocking it, as he emphasized, probably in fear of the truth, and that is why he wrote to Borrell.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina joined ten packages of measures against Russia, including more than 50 decisions, statements and declarations concerning issues ranging from economic sanctions to sanctions against individuals, both during this year and last year, except for one statement,” he said.
Since the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina conducts foreign policy, as he pointed out, it is safe to say that where the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik (SNSD) left off, the member of the Presidency Željka Cvijanović (SNSD) continued as the authority of continuity at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina to join the sanctions against Russia.
Borenović stated that from the answers and detailed insight into their official documents, which he received, it is unequivocally clear that Serbia remains the only country in Europe that has not joined the sanctions.
“No matter how much they fuss, lie and cover up their actions, because if they had nothing to hide I would get an answer to the representative’s question, there is always a way to get to the truth. Mr. Borrell has nothing to hide and very openly and clearly answered my question, which, unfortunately, I could not get from domestic institutions,” he said.
He announced that in the coming days he will speak in great detail about this issue with the aim of making the truth fully available to the public, the PDP announced.
