Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) is against the referendum being a mean of manipulation with people in RS, as stated by the president of SDS, Mladen Bosic, expressing his view that there will not be a referendum of citizens of RS about the Court and Prosecutor’s Office in B&H.
“We are against the manipulation with the referendum for which we know in advance that won’t be held“, said Bosic expressing his view that this issue “is trying to be used as a tool for a trade“.
On the eve of today’s special session of the National Assembly of RS, which will be held at the initiative of the president of RS, Milorad Dodik, about the adoption of a decision on the referendum about the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, Bosic said that Dodik needs to explain in which way he will conduct the will of citizens expressed at the referendum.
“We do not suspect in the outcome of the referendum. But we ask the proponent to answer in which way he think to implement that measure given that his delegates and delegates from the leading coalition once voted for imposed laws of OHR, by which the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H and in that way introduced it into the judicial system of B&H“, added the leader of SDS at the press conference in Banja Luka.
He said that SDS is not against the referendum as a tool for expressing a democratic will of people and that they are “against such Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H that showed in the war crime trials that it has double standards for crime executors and victims from other nations“.
He claims that the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H tolerates a crime “that has an interstate and interethnic background, whose processing they are responsible for“.
Dodik has to explain how the attitude of guarantors of the Dayton Peace Agreement is about that referendum, especially when it comes to Serbia and Russia.
“Does scheduling and conducting the referendum means leaving the Dayton Peace Agreement by RS and how it will affect the future of RS? We know that Dodik has enough votes in the National Assembly of RS to vote this request, and delegates will vote depending on the answer they get on the questions that will be asked at the session of the Parliament of RS to the proponent of the discussion on this topic“, concluded Bosic.
