Revenues from indirect taxes in the first two months of this year amounted to one billion and 542 million BAM and are higher by 120 million BAM or 8.38 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when they amounted to one billion and 422 million BAM.

In the first two months of this year, the Indirect Tax Authority (ITA) returned 368 million BAM to the economy, which is 65 million BAM more than the income that beneficiaries received from the Single Account for the same period in 2022.

The net collected revenues that were distributed to users in the first two months of 2023, namely the state, the entities and the Brčko District, amounted to one billion and 173 million BAM and are higher by 54 million BAM than the revenues that the beneficiaries received from the Single Account for the same period last year.

An amount of 137 million BAM was allocated for the financing of state institutions in the first two months of this year. All excess income from indirect taxes ended up in both entities and Brčko District.

Based on the special toll for the construction of motorways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 32.1 million BAM, the entity of Republika Srpska 21.2 million BAM and the Brčko District one million BAM. The difference represents a reserve in a special account for road tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM, the Indirect Taxation Authority announced.
