Two Guinness World Records were broken within the Tuzla Gastro Show, on the central square in this town.

A group of residents of Tuzla made the largest burek (meat pie) ever prepared in BiH, which weighed 650 kilograms and the largest flatbread with 1,500 cevapi (grilled meat rolls). The official results on whether our country managed to enter the Guinness Book of Records will be known in three months.

“The size of our burek is 6×6 meters.” This burek was prepared by 14 people, and the length of dough was 1,500 meters. It was a real challenge to prepare all of this, and we even used a special vehicle for transport,” said Omer Isovic from the Agency Kreativa Marketing, which is the organizer of Tuzla Gastro Show.

Isovic noted that a burek with a diameter of 5.5 meters was made in Slovenia before, but it did not enter the Guinness Book of Records.

Recordings of the measurement of burek and portion of cevapi in Tuzla were sent to the headquarters of Guinness World Record, and results are expected in three months.

“The aim of this manifestation is to show that we strengthen our country and lead it forward only by buying domestic products. We also want to show once again that burek and cevapi are our traditional food, as well as that burek is a pie with only meat,” emphasized Isovic.

The prepared burek was distributed to citizens, doctors, firefighters, and policemen, as well as other emergency services that are taking care of citizens’ safety.

Within this manifestation was also presented the “Golden Dragon’s Heart” award, and recipients of this award were Edin Dzeko, Zvjezdan Misimovic, Enis Beslagic and Vedad Ibisevic for their contributions and achievements.

The whole event, which was attended by several thousand people, was further enriched by the performances of numerous cultural-artistic groups and associations.
