Bosnian Coach Mladen Zizovic Passes Away during Match

Bosnian coach Mladen Žižović died on Monday night after collapsing on the bench during a Serbian Super League match.

Radnik Kragujevac coach Mladen Žižović fell ill during a match in the 14th round of the Super League in Lučani against Mladost, after which he died, Serbian media reported.

Žižović lost consciousness in the 22nd minute of the match and was taken to an ambulance.

The 44-year-old coach simply collapsed on the sidelines, after which the match was stopped so he could receive medical attention.

Mladen Žižović was born on December 27, 1980 in Rogatica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. During his playing career, he played for several clubs, including Radnik Bijeljina, Rudar Ugljevik, Zrinjski Mostar, Tirana, Borac Banja Luka and Mladost Rogatica.

He played four matches for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team in 2008.

He began his coaching career at Radnik Bijeljina (2017–2019), and later managed Zrinjski Mostar (2019–2020), Sloboda Tuzla (2021–2022) and Borac Banja Luka.

Žižović arrived in Kragujevac on 23 October.
