Bosnian Generals support Minister’s Plan for State Security – “It will not be weakened by those who destroyed it”

The Association of BiH Generals believes that the initiation of procedures for activating the reserve forces of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ASBiH) by the Minister of Defense Zukan Helez is a very good decision that contributes to the stability of both the state and the Armed Forces of BiH.

They point out that Helez only implements the legal possibility of activating the reserve, because the Law on Defense of BiH clearly states that the Armed Forces of BiH consist of an active and a reserve component, so that in no case are individuals’ claims that these activities are illegal.

They add that in the same law, the command responsibilities of the Minister of Defense in activating the reserve forces of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are indicated, and that it is very important to clarify that the legal role of the reserve forces is to provide support to the active peacetime composition, not to raise tensions and send threats to anyone.

The Association states that such activities of current officials can be an example and indicator that the state can be strengthened and ensure its stability through current constitutional and legal solutions, and not just wait for solutions “from the sidelines” and show institutional impotence.

“For the stated reasons, we fully support these activities of Minister Zukan Helez, without entering into any political commitments, and we once again tell other officials that they must be proactive and energetic in building and strengthening the state system and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

Do not forget that the best sons and daughters shed blood for their homeland, and that we have no right to let those who destroyed it destabilize and weaken it, announced the Association of Generals of BiH.
