A terrible traffic accident occurred in Sarajevo today when a tram derailed, as a result of which unfortunately one person died.

The tram, which was going from the direction of the Railway Station towards Baščaršija, derailed at the intersection near the National Museum and ended up on the road.

According to the first official information from the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Interior, one person was killed and two were injured. Unofficially, a man was killed.

“In a tram accident in the area of ​​the Center, one person was killed. Two people were injured, according to current information. The prosecutor has been informed,” confirmed the spokeswoman of the MoI, Mersiha Novalić.

A large number of police and firefighters are on the ground, and the ambulance took the injured to hospital with several vehicles.

As can be seen in the photos and videos, almost the entire tram station was demolished due to the tram derailment, Klix.ba writes.
