nikola-dupalo-srna1 (1) 2Nikola Dupalo from Bosanski Novi made 32 000 crunches in 12 hours and 45 minutes, which is 2 000 crunches more than the European record holder Jovica Spajić, Serbian representative in ultra-marathon managed to do.

This 30 years old Bosnian was trying to win the record yesterday from 09:00 to 21:45 o’clock at the fitness centre ‘Apolon’, supported by his friends and professional help of the professor Dragan Borojević.

Dupalo, who is interested in extreme sports said he got this idea when he found an information about the European record and then decided to win it.

‘I made 32 000 crunches, I was preparing myself physically and psychically. It was hard but I am satisfied.’ – stated Dupalo last night at the end of this adventure.

He also added that he had a little psychical crisis around the 10 000th crunche but he overcame it successfully.

Borojević added that he noticed a crises around 18:00 o’clock which Nikola did not even realise.

“What matters is that he did not have spasms, I was following his condition all day long and was giving him potassium, sodium and magnesium” – stated Borojević.

He stated that Dupalo’s venture was recorded with cameras and will be forwarded to the commission for records.

Dupalo added that he will soon try to win the new world record of 125 000 crunches.
