The visit of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to Banja Luka on Thursday was used again to send messages of pretensions towards a part of the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said in a statement for Fena news agency by the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Sefik Dzaferovic, commenting on the statements by Vucic and a member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik.
“Such messages bring unrest and unnecessarily raise tensions. Although Vucic formally repeats every time he visits that Serbia respects the territorial integrity of BiH, Serbian President Vucic usually supplements his statement with an attitude that denies the obligation that his country certainly carries. He did it this time as well by calling Trebinje “the most beautiful Serbian city”.
Trebinje is a beautiful city, but it belongs equally to every person in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as every other inch of this country. Nothing in this country belongs to only one nation and Vucic should finally learn that,” stressed Dzaferovic.
Dzaferovic also reacted to an attempt of Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vucic to link Bosnia and Herzegovina and its entity to the negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo.
“There will be no talks on the status of the BiH entity of RS. The RS has never been a state and never will be. The RS entity is an administrative unit in Bosnia and Herzegovina and may exist only as such, or not exist at all.
The status of the RS entity, which has no international subjectivity, neither depends nor could depend on the negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo,” concluded Dzaferovic.
