Both houses of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Parliament will convene in the next three days, namely, the House of Representatives on December 17th and 18th, and the House of Peoples a day later.

One of the announced items on the agenda is the 2020 budget proposal of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The budget proposal was established by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and submitted to the Parliament under urgent procedure.

Noting that the proposal was prepared in accordance with the budget calendar, the Government stated that the planned total budget amounts to 4,954,392,401 BAM, which is almost twice as much as in 2019.

The main reason for this increase is the integration of the FBiH Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance into the budget beneficiary status.

The Federation of BiH’s budget for 2020, with total revenues and expenditures, has increased by 2,252.5 million BAM, or 83 percent compared to 2019, Federal News Agency reports.
