Bradara: It is up to us to turn to the Future and start Establishing the executive Power

The newly appointed president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, stated that she will use all democratic principles during the consultations regarding the establishment of government in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“It is up to us to turn to the future and start establishing the executive power. As of tomorrow, the deadlines for consultations regarding the election of the Prime Minister and the entire Government of FBiH officially start. The Constitution is clear here, the Government is appointed by the President of the Federation and consent is given by the two Vice-Presidents,” Bradara told reporters after the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament confirmed her appointment at today’s session.

She reminded that the position of the president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is more a protocol-based position, and in any case, as she says, it is also a political one.

When asked if she would support the SDP President Nermin Nikšić becoming the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she replied that the consultation process regarding the formation of the Government should first be allowed to begin and that the President and Vice Presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina receive certification from the Central Election Commission.

“I assure you that I will fulfill my obligations within 30 days and we will see how it will all turn up,” added Bradara.
