pobudjeEvery Friday after the prayer, residents of the village Pobudje near Bratunac are collecting money to provide scholarships for students and schoolchildren from this village.

About 200 residents of this village, which is 25 kilometers away from Bratunac, believes that the only way for improving life in this village is investing in education. This village was destroyed and around 200 of its residents were killed during the Serbian aggression on B&H.

Fifteen young people from the village Pobudje, who have returned to their homes with their families after the war, are studying now at different universities in Sarajevo and Tuzla, and their number is increasing every year. Their neighbors decided to make their studies easier by providing him financial help, and they are expecting them to work for the progress of the village and the entire B&H one day.

The group of residents of this village are hoping that other places, not only in eastern B&H but in other parts of the country as well, will follow their example.
