Brave Azra Dedic won Gold at European Judo Championship

Azra Dedic from Bihac won the gold medal at the European Championship in ID judo in the German city of Cologne in the 70 kg category. Dedic is a member of the Una Judo Club.

Azra Dedic is the first person with Down syndrome in Bosnia and Herzegovina to gain a master’s degree in any martial arts.

Winning a gold medal at the Cologne European Championship for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities for Azra is the crown of practicing this extremely challenging sport.

She has earned the Black Belt at the Federation of BiH’s traditional Judo Summer Camp, but also with a number of outstanding results in recent years.

Last year, she won a bronze medal at the first judo World Cup in Germany for people with intellectual disabilities, Klix.ba news portal reports.
