Brick Factory Sarajevo Concessions for Exploitation of Clay

glina_170910The company ‘Brick Factory’ d.o.o. Sarajevo received a concession for the exploitation of brick clay in the reservoir ‘Rapailo’ in municipality Ilidža.

On this occasion, Minister of Economy Emir Hrenovica, on behalf of the Sarajevo Canton government, an the Director of the company ‘Brick Factory’ Sandra Bezdrob signed an agreement today on a concession.

With this agreement, the company will obtain the right to exploitation and use of brick clay from this area for the next 12 years.

Minister Hrenovica said that on this basis there would at least a minimum income of 100.000 KM annually, and that every additional cubic meter will be at 1,9 KM. He stressed that in the future they would seek to expedite the process of signing the concession agreement, and that he expects in this year the opening of two quarries. He pointed out that according to the law on concessions, 50 percent of the revenue will go to the municipality.

The brick factory is located in Rakovica, municipality Ilidža and operates within the composition of Nexa Group since 2004.

Director Bezdrob said that the signing of this agreement is very important for the factory.

‘’The concession for 12 years provides the basic raw materials for production, which is vital for our future work. Our goal is to be the number one producer in the region, and our products are being sold not only in B&H, but also in Dalmatia and Montenegro’’, said Bezdrob.
