bridgeConstruction of the bridge “Bratoljub” on the Drina River that will connect the banks of Ljubovija and Bratunac is going as planned and this infrastructural project worth 13 million EUR will be completed by November 1, confirmed the Ministry of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure of Serbia.

So far, six columns were built, four of which are on the territory of Serbia and two on the territory of Republika Srpska, where two more columns are to be built.

The connecting of columns with longitudinal beams will start next week, thus giving this facility the first outlines of a bridge.

Serbia is building the entire bridge that is to be 227 meters long and have a cycling and pedestrian trail, as well as the access roads in the Ljubovija Municipality.

Republika Srpska will build the access road and joint border crossing in the Municipality of Bratunac.

The construction began in October last year and deadline for completion of the project is September 19, 2017.

The contractor is the company “MBA-Ratko Mitrović civil engineering” and the project was made by the Traffic Institute CIP Belgrade.
