British Minister of Justice Hughes Visits B&H

Simon_Hughes_The Minister of Justice and Civil Liberties of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Simon Hughes will be in B&H.

The Embassy of Great Britain to B&H confirmed to Agency Fena that Minister Huges will speak today with Chairperson of the B&H Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda, Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of B&H Damir Ljubić, President of the Court of B&H Meddžida Kreso and the Chief Prosecutor of B&H Goran Salihović.

The topics of discussion will be the situation of the state judiciary, war crimes, as well as demands of citizens during the days-long protests in B&H. The British Minister will speak with his interlocutors on the activities of B&H institutions when it comes to problems that victims of sexual violence from the war endured, as well as human rights with a special emphasis on the rights of minorities and LGBT people.

This is the first official visit of Minister Huges to a Balkan country.
