“Bulgartabac” Took Over Banja Luka Tobacco Factory

BulgartabacToday Bulgarian “Bulgartabac” took officially Banja Luka tobacco factory. It is formed a new Managing Board consisting of three members. Bulgarians have pledged to keep the existing 250 workers and to increase the production.

The Council of Competition of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1st August gave the approval to“Bulgartabac” that through its members “Blagoevgrad – BT” to take over majority shares of tobacco factory Banja Luka. Bulgarians in accordance with the Memorandum with the Government of RS bought nine percent of 100 percent of government action in the Tobacco Factory for 743,460 KM on 1st July.

Memorandum obliges “Bulgartabac” to keep five years the core business of cigarette factory in RS with securing investment in the purchase of new equipment, long-term sustainability and to increase production.
