By the End of the Year RS will take up to 50 million BAM of Loan?

cvijanovicPrime Minister of Republika Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic stated that by the end of this year RS will “withdraw” only 50 million BAM of loan from 300 million BAM, for which the Government has previously agreed the RS to borrow from the US investment fund “Global Bancorp Commodities & Investment.”

RS is realizing the withdrawal of the first tranche that will not exceed 50 million BAM, said Cvijanovic in a statement to reporters in Banja Luka, adding that this tranche “fits” in the amount of funds that can be withdrawn by the end of the year.

Cvijanovic added that the other tranches, as foreseen by the contract and as previously agreed, will be “withdrawn” in the future period.

The opposition, along with criticism of the RS government because of the debt, emphasized that the RS cannot borrow amounts exceeding 70 million BAM this year, considering the earlier parliamentary decision on the annual borrowing.
