pasos2Argentina, Thailand and Barbados are among the numerous countries that do not have their diplomatic representative offices in BiH, which is why the citizens of BiH must go to the neighboring countries to obtain a vise for traveling to these countries.

Consular department of the Embassy of Argentina in Budapest notified the citizens of BiH which documents they need in order to apply for a tourist visa for Argentina. Those are a valid passport, filled and signed request for issuance of a visa that can be obtained from the Embassy, two newer photographs, a copy of a booked two-way plane ticket, evidence of the migrant status of the applicant (if the applicant is not a citizen of BiH), and evidence of the financing of the applicant during the visit to Argentina.

The applicant should also submit credit card report or bank account report for the past six months (original documents issued by the bank).

The Embassy also recommends the submission of paperwork about real estate/pension.

In addition to the above mentioned, the applicant must have a hotel reservation (paid by credit card) or the original of an invitation letter if the applicant was invited by a family member or a friend from Argentina, and original confirmation of employment or labor contract signed by the employer, verified by a notary, and the list of tourist destinations that will be visited.

If the applicant is a student, they must submit a letter from the university which confirms that the student is attending that university.

The visa costs 50 USD and all documents must be scanned and forwarded to the Embassy via email.

Further procedure requires scheduling of a meeting in the Embassy, after the documentation is checked, and the applicant must bring the original paperwork to the meeting.

After the meeting, officer of the Consular department of the Embassy will notify the applicant if their visa request was approved. In case it is, the visa will be issued after the visa reimbursement is paid in the local bank.

Citizens who want to travel to Barbados can obtain their tourist visa in the Embassy of Barbados in Brussels and the required documents are valid passport, filled request for the issuance of a visa, confirmation of employment or a confirmation letter from a school or university, and one photograph.

The Embassy of Barbados explained that applicants who reside in a country which is not their country of origin must submit evidence of their status int hat country – a working, student or residence permit.

Costs of issuance of a tourist visa with one entrance to the country amount to 92 EUR when the Embassy sends the passport with a visa to the applicant’s address. If the applicant is taking the passport personally from the Embassy, the visa costs 75 EUR. It takes three weeks to process the visa request.

Another country that does not have its representative office in BiH is Thailand. Visa for this country can be obtained in the Consulate of the Kingdom of Thailand in Zagreb and the necessary documents are valid passport, copy of the first page of the passport, copy of a booked return plane ticket, a photograph and filled request for issuance of a visa.

Applicants can bring the documentation personally to the Consulate or deliver by a courier agency.

Visa costs 35 EUR for one entrance, 70 EUR for two entrances, and 105 EUR for three entrances. Visas are usually issued the same day.
