Canton Sarajevo adopted Revised Budget higher by 114 Million BAM

The Assembly of Sarajevo Canton adopted a revised budget for 2019. The budget is increased by 114 million BAM, and amounts to one billion and 55 million BAM.

Significant funds will be directed to the traffic infrastructure, in the amount of more than 75 million BAM – for the renovation of the public transport fleet for the passenger, reconstruction of the trolleybus network for Vogosca settlement, covering the difference for retired monthly ticket KJKP Gras, subsidizing student card expenses and student transportation.

Also, the funds are directed to the Road Directorate in the amount of more than 19 million BAM, for energy efficiency in public facilities and budget users’ facilities, subsidizing the youth in housing issues more than 25 million BAM, while 9,5 million BAM will be allocated for subsidizing customers of natural gas and central heating.

To the Ministry of Communal Economy and Infrastructure, the CS allocated more than 9.5 million BAM for subsidizing natural gas and central heating customers around eight million BAM and 1.5 million BAM to KJKP equipment procurement.

The Ministry of Education rebalance the budget envisages more than seven million BAM for projects for co-financing pre-school education, for strategies for working with children with developmental difficulties, for building the Academy of Performing Arts, as well as for co-financing the construction of a school in Sip settlement.

Funds will be allocated for the abolition of architectural barriers for persons with disabilities in the amount of 1 million BAM and for the purpose of regulating the migration crisis of an additional 200,000 BAM.
