Canton Sarajevo allocates 120 Million BAM for Communal Activities

The Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Physical Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton has allocated 19,200,000 BAM to perform communal activities in the segment of common consumption: cleaning the city, public areas, grave areas, water treatment plants and garbage collection.

Agreements on the allocation of funds for utility companies were signed today by Minister Enver Hadziahmetovic with directors and representatives of KJKP “Rad”, “Park”, “ViK”, “Pokop”, and JKP “Komunalac” Hadzici, “Trnovo” -Trnovo and Vodostan “Elijah.”

“The funds were allocated by a decision of the Government, and will be delivered to companies continuously, through monthly annuities. The Communal Economy Sector of the Ministry will supervise the spending of funds. We expect that it will be used exclusively in the business from the segment of joint consumption, so that we would have the best possible communal service,” Minister Hadziahmetovic pointed out.

The Minister emphasized that additional funds will be allocated from the budget for this purpose this year, if real needs are determined.
