“The Catholic Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) rejects all forms of violence, harassment, and abuse of users, especially children and vulnerable groups,” told Cardinal Vinko Puljic in his introductory speech at a conference on the protection of children and vulnerable groups held in Travnik.

This conference was organized by Caritas BiH, under the auspices of the Bishops’ Conference of BiH and with the financial support of the Fund for Financing Pastoral Projects for Central and Eastern Europe of the Diocese of Linz (Austria). The event was for all church institutions that work with children, youth, and vulnerable groups.

The conference gathered more than 50 participants from the Vrhbosna Archdiocese, the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno, Trebinje-Mrkan, and the Diocese of Banja Luka.

The meeting began with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Archbishop Metropolitan of Vrhbosna, with the concelebration of the Director of Caritas BiH, Msgr. Tome Knezevic and other priests who were there.

In his introductory speech, Cardinal Puljic, in his capacity as President of the Bishops’ Conference of BiH and Caritas BiH, greeted all present and thanked Caritas BiH for organizing this gathering, and representatives of church institutions for their arrival.

Cardinal Puljic pointed out that the Catholic Church in BiHrejects all forms of violence, harassment, and abuse of users, especially children and vulnerable groups, and that it is necessary to discuss prevention and protection, Federalna writes.
