Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, organized yesterday in the House of Priests of Vrhbosna archbishopric in Sarajevo reception for dignitaries from the religious and socio-political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of the Catholic holiday of Christmas.
The reception was attended by numerous representatives of the political life in B&H, the highest religious representatives and representatives of the military, social and cultural life, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps in B&H.
Cardinal Puljic extended his greetings to all guests, especially religious leaders in B&H, stressing that these meetings determine the path of dialogue and seek cooperation.
As he said in welcoming speech, in the celebration of Christmas, Christians glory of God born as a child to bring a man closer to God, the man and his companions on the ground.
“I see our gathering as an opportunity to create an atmosphere of trust and openness in respecting our diversity equally”, Puljic said.
He recalled the visit of Pope Francis to our country on April 6 and thanked the Holy Father for this visit once more placed B&H at the center of the world, and especially the European public.
“Now it’s up to us to integrate his messages into our reality,” Puljic said.
Cardinal Puljic expressed wish towards soon establishment of structures of a normal state so that people are pleased, not only with the establishment but also with its work.
Along with wishes for merry Christmas and happy New Year, he wished everyone harmony and peace, good health and good cooperation.
Among the many guests, the reception was attended by the Chairman of the Presidency of B&H Dragan Covic, Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zvizdić Denis, president of the Jewish Community in B&H Jakob Finci, Mayor of Sarajevo and many others.
