CBBiH: Foreign Exchange Reserves At The End Of August Rose To 17.92 Billion BAM

The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH) at the end of August amounted to 17.92 billion BAM and are higher by about 250 million BAM compared to the end of July.

On an annual level, foreign exchange reserves increased by 1.24 billion BAM or 7.4 percent, the CBBiH announced.

Total loans to domestic sectors at the end of August amounted to 27.44 billion BAM, and compared to the previous month, a decrease of 23.1 million BAM or 0.1 percent was recorded.

Credit growth was registered in the household sector by 108.4 million BAM or 0.8 percent, and in other domestic sectors by 5.5 million BAM or 1.5 percent.

A decrease in credit growth on a monthly level was recorded in government institutions by 110 million BAM or 7.8 percent, in non-financial public enterprises by 6.8 million BAM or 0.9 percent, and in private enterprises by 20.2 million BAM or 0.2 percent.

The annual growth rate of total loans in August amounted to 9.5 percent or nominally 2.39 billion BAM.

Annual loan growth was registered in the household sector by 1.37 billion BAM or 10.9 percent, in private enterprises by 680.1 million BAM or 6.5 percent, in government institutions by 96.9 million BAM or 8.1 percent, in non-financial public enterprises by 153.2 million BAM or 26.6 percent, and in other domestic sectors by 87.6 million BAM or 31.4 percent.
