CEC BiH fines 42 Members of the Election Administration

At today’s session, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH fined a total of 42 members of election committees from several basic constituencies for entering the results incorrectly in the 2024 local elections, which led to an error in the election results.

Members of polling committees 045B003A in the Petrovo constituency, 049A007 in the Srebrenik constituency, 112A013B in the Vitez constituency, as well as members of three polling committees from Živinice, 079A012, 079A013A and 079A032, were fined.

Presidents of polling committees, deputy presidents and members of polling committees were fined 1,100 BAM each, while substitute members of polling committees were fined 900 BAM each.

In addition to a fine, they were also banned from working in the bodies for the implementation of elections for a period of four years.

The political entities that appointed the punished members of the election committees were fined BAM 3,000 each, namely NDP, SNSD, DNS, United Srpska, SDP BiH, “Narod i Pravda”, Our Party, HDZ, Party for BiH, Democratic Front, Social Democrats BiH, Voice of the People – Power of the People, PDA, SDA, as well as HDZ-HDZ 90-HSS, HDZ-HSS, and SDA-Narod i Pravda coalitions.
