Representatives of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a meeting today with members of the European Parliament Delegation for Relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo (DSEE), who are in BiH on the occasion of the 7th meeting of the EU-BiH Parliamentary Stabilisation and Association Committee (POSP).

The meeting was an opportunity for an open exchange of views on the state of the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, current socio-political developments and relations between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Members of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina informed the members of the delegation about the priority activities that the institution is implementing with the aim of improving electoral integrity, including the introduction of specific electoral technologies in the electoral process, as well as the ongoing preparations for holding early elections for the President of Republika Srpska.

The European Parliament delegation expressed its support for strengthening the capacities of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its key role in the European integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition to the members of the delegation, the meeting was also attended by representatives of the Secretariat of the European Parliament and the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, the Information Office of the CEC BiH announced.
