The Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina imposed new fines on political subjects and their candidates in the elections today for violating the Election Law, and the biggest ones were imposed on SNSD and PSS.
The PSS was fined a total of 53,500 KM for premature campaigning and the abuse of children in several cases, while the candidates were fined a total of 27,000 KM.
PSS received the largest single fine of 12,000 KM because the candidate of this party, Branislav Borenović, promoted the “Health without taxes” initiative, which was considered a premature campaign, while Borenović was fined 4,000 KM.
The SNSD was fined a total of 62,500 KM, and the largest single fine of 22,000 KM was imposed because the performance of the candidate for the president of the Republika Srpska, Sava Minic, on the allocation of government aid to elementary and high school students was considered a premature campaign.
In addition to the party, Minić also received a fine in the amount of 12,000 KM.
The SDA was fined a total of 21,000 KM for a premature campaign conducted through social networks, abuse of resources and abuse of children for political purposes.
The political entity “Will of the People of Srpska – doctor Vlado Đajić” was fined a total of 15,000 KM, while the candidate of this party, Vlado Đajić, was fined 14,000 KM for premature campaigning in several separate cases.
Among other things, he was punished for the fact that free preventive examinations in several cities and municipalities of Republika Srpska were characterized as running a premature campaign.
SDS was fined 4,000 KM, while Božović was fined 3,500 KM, due to running a premature campaign for the candidate for the BiH Presidency, Marinko Božović, during a televised guest appearance.
The DNS-NPS coalition was fined a total of 7,000 for running a premature campaign and abusing children.
The candidate of this coalition, Lazar Gajić, was fined 3,000 KM for premature campaigning, while candidate Nenad Nešić was fined 4,000 KM for publishing a photo with children.
The SP-Demos coalition was fined 3,000 KM for the premature campaign, and candidate Blaško Kaurin received the same fine, while the SP independently received a fine of 5,000 KM for abusing children.
HDZ BiH was fined 3,500 KM for misuse of public resources for the promotion of a political entity, while the party’s candidate Tanja Radoš Kosić was fined 3,000 KM in the same case.
SDP was fined 8,000 KM for abusing children for political purposes, as photos were published on their social networks showing children with party symbols, while United Srpska was fined 4,000 KM for child abuse, and its candidate Nenad Stevandić received the same fine.
The NiP-SDB-SPU BiH coalition was fined 4,500 KM for publishing a promotional video showing children being abused for political purposes, and the candidate of the coalition, Nadira Zahirović, received a fine of 3,500 KM.
The Croatian Independent List was fined 3,000 KM for false representation, because this political entity claimed that it had not submitted proposals for members of the electoral committees, which was later found to be untrue.
CEC today appointed the chief controller and controllers for processing, entering data and confirming the results of general elections.
Vedran Kapor was appointed as the chief controller, while his deputies are Tatjana Trifković and Sulejman Hasanović.
