Celtic beat Football Club Sarajevo with 3-1 in Champions League qualifier

Celtic came from behind to seal a comeback victory with a 3-1 win over FK Sarajevo in their Champions League qualifier in Bosnia.

The hosts threatened early on and took the lead through Mirko Oremus who fired in from a corner after 25 minutes.

Mikey Johnston equalised for the Hoops six minutes later with a wonderful curled effort from outside the box.

But it didn’t take long for Sarajevo to net the first goal of the evening, Celtic were unable to clear a corner quickly which allowed Oremus to slide in and fire the ball home.

Johnston had other ideas however, and after a bright start in pre-season for the Scottish champions he curled in a beautiful strike from 25 yards out to equalise for the visitors.

Edouard made the difference after the break, patiently waiting before finally pulling the trigger inside the box to wrong foot Sarajevo goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic.

The Hoops pushed for a third and substitute Sinclair grabbed it just with five minutes to go with a back-heel finish, Daily Record reports.
