BiH minister of Transport and Communications Damir Hadžić and deputy chief of the EU Delegation in BiH Renzo Daviddi agreed that the census in BiH is a technical issue and that it must be held in October, while Daviddi said that the EU is planning to allocate additional 7.5 million EUR for the needs of the census.

At the meeting with Daviddi and manager of BiH Statistics Agency Zdenko Milinović, Hadžić said that BiH Council of Ministers is determined to carry out the census in October, and added that the issue concerning the census is being politicized.

Daviddi said that the census is very important for the EU and BiH in the context of process of BiH joining to the EU and added that the EU is directly included in the preparation activities via Eurostat and the International Monitoring Team.

Milinović talked to Hadžić and Daviddi about the census preparation activities, adding that the Agency has done all the preparatory activities, census methodology and harmonized it with International Monitoring Team recommendations.

He said that all the documents needed for undisturbed census which will be held in October are prepared, and only need to be approved by BiH Council of Ministers.

Milinović added that the Agency prepared the plan of census activities, the census forms, established procedures for selecting the census bodies and revised the financial plan of the census.
