In recent months was speculated that the foreign investments in BiH are decreasing and it was confirmed by the data from the Central Bank of BiH for the first nine months of the last year.
According to this data by the Central Bank of BiH, the direct investment for the first nine months of the last year with estimated profit amounted to 270 million BAM.
In comparison to the same period of 2015 when foreign direct investments amounted to 388.9 million BAM, we can see that there was a decline of more than 100 million BAM.
The biggest foreign direct investment in the period from January to September 2016 (excluding reinvested profit) came from Croatia in the amount of 21.4 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 20.1 million BAM, Saudi Arabia with 19.4 million BAM, Kuwait with 16 million BAM, Slovenia with 12.6 million BAM…
Classified by activities, majority of investments were in financial service activities, besides insurance and pension funds in the amount of 24.6 million, then in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning in the amount of 22.9 million, the production of chemicals and chemical products in the amount of 15 million, wholesales except of motor vehicles and motorcycles in the amount of 10.4 million, accommodation in the amount of 7.7 million BAM…
