The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, attended today the ceremonial marking of the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Czech Republic, held at the Krocinova Conference Center in Prague.

It was emphasized that this significant anniversary confirms the strong friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic, as well as the long-standing cooperation in various fields.

During the event, Minister Konaković addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of mutual understanding and partnership that has continuously developed over the two decades of the Embassy’s existence.

He expressed special gratitude to the Czech Republic for supporting the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing its key role in the process of obtaining candidate status in the European Union. He also pointed out the importance of educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries, highlighting projects that enable students from Bosnia and Herzegovina to study in the Czech Republic, thereby strengthening ties between peoples.

The Minister also mentioned the deep historical ties between BiH and the Czech Republic, recalling the architectural legacy of Karl Paržik, whose work left an indelible mark on the urban identity of Sarajevo and other cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the festive celebration, the audience was also addressed by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Czech Republic, Martina Mlinarević, who emphasized the importance of the diplomatic mission in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting cultural and economic cooperation.

The event was an opportunity for an open dialogue with citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina living in the Czech Republic, as well as for strengthening joint efforts towards future development and prosperity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
