After the prayer, doctor Cerić discussed shortly with Pope Francis and handed him the “Flower of Srebrenica”, the symbol of one of the greatest sufferings Bosniacs went through, the genocide in Srebrenica. – is stated in the communication.

This attendance to the prayer and the short meeting with the Pope is a certain recognition of the Bosniac victims of the World War I.

Several dozen of thousands of Bosniac people died in the armies in the World War I and a lot of them were buried at the military cemetery Gorizia in Trieste so there was a need for initiating identification and appropriate marking of their tombs. – was announced.
