zvizdicChairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic stated that the message that the EU institutions are focused on the region more than ever, which was sent on the dinner of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini with officials of the Western Balkans, is very important.

He stated that everything that was said in Brussels was aimed at the implementation of all the activities that will take the whole Western Balkans in the EU.

According to him, from three important messages that were sent at this dinner, the most important one is that the stability of the region must be preserved.

He stated that the second important message is that it is necessary to continue with talks among the Western Balkan countries and they agreed to organize these meetings at least quarterly, and the next one is scheduled for October in Montenegro.

“The third message is that we insisted on an increase of the level of investments in the Western Balkans and the first results to be visible at the summit that will be held in Trieste on July 12, through investing in projects for the countries in which they were nominated, and through investments in regional projects, which will connect the region through infrastructure projects,” stated Chairman Zvizdic.

According to him, they discussed the improvement of trade and economic cooperation, removing all the invisible customs barriers, as well as the topic of raising the capacity and capabilities that the CEFTA is providing, the creation of the Western Balkans as a common economic space where accelerated, higher quality, and more efficient movement of goods, people and capital will be enabled, and which will increase the economic capacity of the region.

He concluded that the meeting was positive and a good message for countries of the Western Balkan.
