Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, spoke today with the special envoy of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans, Stuart Peach.
The interlocutors expressed their satisfaction with the adoption of the Decision on the appointment of the General Corps of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the session of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held yesterday, which created the conditions for the continuation of the normal and legal work of this important institution.
Peach emphasized the determination of the Government of the United Kingdom to continue supporting the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as activities to maintain peace and stability through the participation of British officers in the work of the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo, and support for the EUFOR mission through the so-called “Berlin+” arrangement.
The interlocutors noted the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the unequivocal support of the United Kingdom for the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
