The Chairman of the BiH Presidency Nebojša Radmanović received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Aleksandar Bocan-Harčenko. They spoke about bilateral relations between the two countries, the current political situation in BiH, the region and the world.

Ambassador Harčenko informed President Radmanović of the activities in relation to the continuation of work on the construction of the pipeline ‘’Južni tok’’, as a strategic project for the Russian Federation and other partner countries.

President Radmanović expressed his satisfaction with the successful continuation of the realization of the project ‘’Južni tok’’, and with the expectation that it will be implemented within the agreed timeframe.

The chairman spoke of the importance of the project ‘’Južni tok’’ for all countries in Europe, and especially for countries of the region that are involved in it, because it would solve some of the most pressing issues of energy security and stability of these countries, including BiH.

He recalled that ‘’Južni tok’’ would supply all of BiH, the FBiH as well as the RS. Until now, BIH supplied gas and other energy sources from these sources.

The two exchanged information, opinions and expectations regarding the implementation of the ‘’Sejdić-Finci’’ case and the Agreement on military assets.

They both concluded that this concerns the most difficult questions concerning BiH, so all expectations concerning these issues are justified and open.
