The Day of the Armed Forces of BiH and the 12th anniversary of the formation of military forces of our country was solemnly marked in the barracks Rajlovac in Sarajevo, and numerous representatives of the authorities of BiH, international officials and members of the diplomatic and military-diplomatic corps, as well as other officials, attended this solemn event.
Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic and member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic also congratulated to the officials of the AF BiH. Chairman Covic noted that the Day of AF BiH should be motivation for m other institutions in BiH to make an improvement in the same way.
“Our three decades have been abundant with temptations. You should be proud of the culture and traditions of the people you represent. Answer all the tasks that are set before you. Today, our reality is our way to the realization of a plan and map in BiH. I honestly hope that we will succeed in this and that it will be the foundation that will enable you to wear your uniforms with pride. Our country is going through numerous temptations, and today we are at the doors of the EU. Our past will not be written by anyone abroad, but in BiH, and therefore, you soldiers, relieved from the past, turn to the future,” stated Chairman Covic.
“I would like to congratulate this day to all the members. This is a great opportunity to summarize the success and all achieved results. We achieved these results and handled all the challenges with our quality and hard work, and we made our contribution to the realization of the European path of BiH. We are recognized as a reliable partner on the global map as well,” said Chief of Joint Staff of AF BiH, General Anto Jelec.
Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendes also congratulated to members of the AF BiH, and she thanked all senior BH officials for expressing their interest in modernization of the military force of our country.
“I would like to thank all those who have led the defense reform of BiH in the past 12 years and took great responsibility in that period. Thanks to them and their vision, as well as to all members of the AF BiH, today we have unique Armed Forces that are able to respond to each task, regardless of material resources,” stated Minister Pendes.
