Chairman Zvizdic met with the Foreign Ministers of Croatia and Hungary

meeting ZvizdicChairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic met yesterday in Sarajevo with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia Davor Ivo Stier and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, and introduced them with the current economic and political situation in BiH. He noted that Euro-Atlantic integration is the strategic goal of BiH and that the basis for stable economic and political progress of the country are integrations into the EU and NATO.

Chairman Zvizdic said that bilateral cooperation was further intensified in all fields in the past period and noted that concrete results are visible in this meeting and the signing of the Program of educational and cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary and the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a direct air line between Sarajevo and Budapest. Chairman Zvizdic and ministers Stier and Szijjarto agreed that the mutual bilateral relations are good and friendly.

Speaking about the cooperation with the Republic of Croatia, Chairman Zvizdic said that he highly values the current support and assistance of Croatia in the EU accession process. He also emphasized the importance of the conclusion of the European Partnership, which will take place in the future and will ensure to use the technical, professional and expert help for the best possible preparation of BH institutions to meet the conditions for the accession of the EU. Chairman Zvizdic and Minister Stier agreed that the joint session of the Council of Ministers and the Government of Croatia represents an opportunity for discussion of open issues and further improvement of their cooperation.

In the conversation with Minister Szijjarto was welcomed the recent establishment of the Business Council of BiH and Hungary and supported the activities that will contribute to the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries. Chairman Zvizdic thanked Hungary for its support in the process of EU and NATO integration of BiH and expressed the hope that it will be continued. During the meeting, Chairman Zvizdic invited the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to pay an officially visit to BiH.
