The Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, spoke by phone today with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood, Olivér Várhelyi, about the preparations for holding the Second High-Level Political Forum between the European Union (EU) and BiH, announced for December 5 in Brussels.
Krišto informed Commissioner Várhelyi that she personally informed all participants of the First High-Level Political Forum about the holding of the second meeting, and that preparations for holding it are underway.
From direct communication with all the leaders of the political parties of the coalition at the state level, she pointed out that they all expressed their willingness to be personally present in Brussels. She also pointed out that to all other participants of the First Political Forum at a high level between BiH and the EU, including members of the Collegium of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, presidents of the representative clubs in the House of Representatives of the PSBiH coalition parties at the state, entity and cantonal levels, prime minister and the mayor of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent a letter in which she informed them about the details of the preparation for holding the Second High-Level Political Forum between the European Union and listed the key obligations and steps that should be taken by each level of government in accordance with the European Commission’s Report on Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Krišto once again called on all participants of the Forum to speed up the fulfillment of the remaining obligations in accordance with the recommendations from the European Commission’s Report on Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023, especially emphasizing the efforts directed towards the fulfillment of Agenda 31, which contains priorities and reforms, evaluating them as a key step towards obtaining the final date for the opening of negotiations for full membership by the end of this year,” announced the Council of Ministers of BiH.
