The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, said at the traditional Christmas reception in Sarajevo that this gathering is a message of peace and advocacy for a peaceful, dignified and happy life for every individual in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Christmas is the time when our hearts are filled with warmth and when we feel the closeness of our loved ones and in a special way we feel the strength of togetherness,” said Kristo.
She expressed her belief that everyone here, regardless of religion and nation, carries within them the desire to do good, to have tolerance and mutual respect.
“This is an opportunity for all of us to correct our intentions and actions towards others in order to continue working in the service of the common good,” said Kristo.
She emphasized that this is especially important for BiH, which is “rewarded with diversity”.
“We especially sympathize with those who are torn from the warmth of their homes, with those who die innocently, with the hungry and sick,” said Kristo, who hosts the reception.
Finally, she was wished a happy and successful year 2024.
Tonight’s reception was attended by numerous guests.
The Christmas reception was attended by members of the Council of Ministers, Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović, leadership of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vice Presidents of the Republika Srpska from the ranks of the Croat and Bosniak people Davor Pranjić and Camil Duraković.
Director of the Indirect Taxation Administration (ITA) BiH Zoran Tegeltija, Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabuhov, Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović, President of the Government of the Federation of BiH Nermin Nikšić, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johan Satler and numerous representatives of religious , public and diplomatic life in BiH.
The reception was organized in the building of BiH institutions.
