Chairperson of the BiH Presidency meets with the Head of EU Delegation to BiH

Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, spoke today with the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and the EU’s Special Representative in BiH, Johann Sattler. They exchanged opinions on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the European integration process, with a special focus on the prospect of obtaining candidate status for EU membership by the end of the year.

The officials stressed the need for the fastest possible formation of authorities at all levels in BiH, to efficiently implement reform processes in the domain of European integration, as well as further improve the socioeconomic situation in both entities.

On this occasion, the Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH expressed the expectation that the EU will show a pragmatic approach towards BiH in the further accession process, respecting its decentralized structure, as well as the constitutional competencies of different levels of government, the Presidency of BiH announced.
