Una National Park Made Easy: Discover It With Japodijum

For all those who want to explore the beauties of Una National Park and the surrounding places, there is a simple solution, and that is the “Japodium” application. It guides visitors through the park, shows attractions, and enables easier planning of visits, making the discovery of certain corners of Krajina simpler and more interesting.

A bridge between information and practical navigation

Alen Anadolac and Anel Mulalic have been developing this application for almost three years. “Japodium” guides users through Una National Park, as well as nearby tourist destinations.

“The content in the application is categorized into activities and destinations. Each activity within the application has a photo gallery and an informative text related to the same location. And Japodium is good and popular with tourists because it has an advanced option within destinations – it has a ‘go to location’ feature,” Anadolac explains.

“Japodium” functions as a bridge between available content and the way to reach the desired destination. Through the application, visitors can also book certain destinations and activities.

“The good thing is that we record every interaction within the application in the database, so in analytics, we can see from which countries and cities tourists have come to our area, and we can track which language they used within the application,” Anadolac emphasizes.

Support of Una National Park

From Una National Park, they point out that this application is of great importance for presenting information and content and that it represents one of the best signposts for everyone who wants to visit the park and inform themselves in advance about what awaits them.

“We have been in love from the very beginning, because it was presented to employees in the park before going public. We were delighted by it because we did not know that something of such importance existed – not only for us who work there, but also for users, guests, tourists,” said Alen Zulic, Director of Una National Park.

The application has been in operation for just under two years, and the authors plan its further expansion with new content and destinations, with the aim that in the future, Japodium will encompass the tourist offer of the entire Krajina and become the central digital guide of this region.
