The Regulatory Commission for Energy of the FBiH (FERK), accepted the proposal of Elektroprivreda HZ HB for the price of electricity within the universal service for all categories of buyers to remain the same as in the year of 2017.

When it comes to the request of Elektroprivreda BiH in which was demanded the increase of prices for small businesses, that request was rejected, as announced by the President of FERK, Jasmin Beso.

He noted that the request of Elektroprivreda BiH was not in accordance with the Methodology, which stipulates that the public supplier is obliged to take care to avoid sudden price changes for its customers.

Beso also reminded that electric power companies can make a new request for amendments to the price of electricity, but that request must be submitted 60 days before applying new prices.

It was also determined that the percentage of mandatory share of electricity produced from renewable energy sources, which all the suppliers that are supplying the final customers in the FBiH and qualified customers who import electricity for their own needs are obligatory to take, amounts to 3.35 % in 2018.
